Personalised wedding invitation
This is about a simple way of personalising your invitation for the D-Day. The invitations cards are for a wedding happening in October, therefore I wanted to give a little bit of a Fall/ Nature touch to the invitation as well as a medieval inspiration. I created the page setting and the illustration myself. To print them out, I used Vistaprint but you can either use your own printer (be careful it can sometimes be more expensive than you think with the price of the cartridge) or see with a professional printer who might have a larger choice of papers and designs. I chose a "linen effect" for the paper which is quite good and has a nice texture.
Here is how to personalise your invitation to make it more outstanding. I am using some paper leaves found in an art store in France (If I find a store that make them in UK I will add it to the page). I'm using a needle (here it's a circular one but any type is fine as long are it can go easily through the paper) and some linen thread. Again you can use any type of attach depending on the chosen theme of the invitation.
Using the needle and the thread, pierce through the paper gently to avoid tearing it.
Then pierce through the leaves or any accessories you want to use to decorate your invitation.
Attach the thread on the other side.
And here is the result. Simple but efficient! You can use anything you want: little hearts, birdcages, little satin bows...
For the envelop, I decided to do some calligraphy. Again this is a more medieval style but there are many ways to do calligraphy. You can choose a different colour of ink as well.
Just use your imagination so with few things you can do a lot!
